AGARTALA:

With the ensuing Autonomous District Council elections around the corner, political clashes are on the rise in various parts of Tripura.

On Friday, clashes between the two political parties in Takarjala were reported.

According to sources, a skirmish between supporters of Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) and The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) Motha broke out in Takarjala.

It may be mentioned that two days ago, there was a political clash in Mandai and Duski of West Tripura district on March 18.

Takarjala is the smallest ADC constituency. TIPRA’s chairman Pradyot Kishore is also contesting from this seat.

Notably, IPFT supremo NC Debbarma won the last assembly election from Takarjala assembly constituency.
