89-year-old becomes the oldest man in Nagaland to receive COVID-19 vaccine

KOHIMA:

An 89-year-old man from Longleng district became the oldest beneficiary to receive the COVISHIELD vaccine in Nagaland.

The state health department had inoculated 180 senior citizens over the age of 60, including 13 beneficiaries over the age of 45 with comorbidities.

“Over 35,789 doses were administered in the state,” Dr Ritu Thurr, state immunisation officer, said.

The nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive covering senior citizens and people over the age of 45 with comorbidities kicked off on March 1.
