Ghanaian boxer Eric Quarm arrives in Mizoram for WBC title fight

Ghanaian boxer Eric Quarm arrived in Aizawl on Monday to fight for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth Title against Mizoram’s Lalrinsanga Tlau.

The fight will be the first-ever professional boxing event in Mizoram and will be held at the R. Dengthuama Indoor Stadium in Aizawl. They will hold the event behind closed doors because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Quarm has an overall record of five fights and four wins.

His last fight was in December 2019, where he suffered his first loss in Lagos.

Mizo boxer Lalrinsanga Tlau holds a record of four wins and zero loses. His victories also include two technical knockouts (TKO). His last fight was on January 30 in Mumbai.

Lalrinsanga’s current world ranking is at number 276 in the 57 kg division.
