Mizoram to organise intl. boxing competition in March, Lalrinsanga to fight for WBC title

Grass Root Boxing Promotional, in association with Mizoram-based Sete Boxing Academy, will organise international boxing competition in Mizoram in March.

Professional Mizo boxer Lalrinsanga will fight for the World Boxing Council (WBC) super feather title, coach and promoter Mujtaba Kamal said on Wednesday.

“Mizoram has a lot of talented boxers, who can bring fame to not only Mizoram but also India. Our main goal is to promote professional boxing in the state and assist the local boxers to take part at (the) international level,” Sportstar quoted Kamal.

Kamal said that on January 5 his team met the Sports Minister Robert Romawia concerning the international event to be held in March this year.

We agreed to work together to organize International Professional Boxing Bout in Aizawl sometime in March 2021.
