Meghalaya: NPP announces final list of candidates for upcoming GHADC polls

SHILLONG:

The National People’s Party (NPP), on Tuesday, announced the final list of candidates to contest the upcoming elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) on March 2, 2021, in Tura, West Garo Hills.

According to an official statement, “The Election Committee set up by the Party is pleased to announce the names of the following candidates sponsored by the Party and wish them the best for the forthcoming elections.”

The candidates are as follows - Bartholomeo D. Shira (Wagesik), Nasser R. Marak (Barengapara), Rakesh A. Sangma (Babelapara), Panseng R. Marak (Amongpara), Thebalson Arengh (Boldamgere), Premish Sangma (Betasing), Dipul R. Marak (Rochonpara), Anseng A. Sangma (Asanang), Enamul Haque (Balachanda), Roynath D. Sangma (Batabari), Tarif Ibrahim Sarkar (Shyamnagar), Crozier G. Momin (Bolsong) and Edbirth D. Shira (Kharkutta).

The GHADC will go to the polls on April 9.
