Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress President’s resignation rejected

The resignation of incumbent Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) president Richard Marak was rejected on March 1.

According to sources, Marak had tendered his resignation a while back.

He had asked to be relieved of his responsibilities but stated that he would continue to work for the party.

In a letter by MPCC working president James S Lyngdoh, a detailed discussion concerning the MPYC president’s resignation was held with the president of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), Srinivas BV, where it was decided not to accept the resignation.

The letter further directed Richard to carry on with his duties as the MPYC president until further orders.
