Meghalaya: IIM Shillong to host online business workshop from Feb 11

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong, Incubation and Enterprise Support Centre (IESC), in collaboration with Sleepwell Foundation and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Ladies Organisation (FLO), will host a four-day online training programme on “How to Start a Business” from February 11 to 14 on the virtual platform “Zoom.”

The free workshop will be conducted by trainers of MacLead certification, along with domain experts to provide a comprehensive knowledge of setting up a business and running it successfully.

The topics will include - Introduction to business, SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) Analysis, Entrepreneurship, Steps to choose the right business, Market research, Business plan, Formation of a business entity, Registrations and legal requirements, How to get funds for business, Information technology and Digital marketing.

Aastha Grover, Head Start-Up India Hub at Invest India, will attend the inaugural programme whereas Meghalaya Cabinet Minister James Sangma will grace the valedictory programme on February 14 as the chief guest.

The inaugural programme will begin at 11 am on Thursday.
