Meghalaya: DLSA disburses compensation in South Garo Hills

BAGHMARA:

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in South Garo Hills, disbursed an amount of Rs. 1 lakh under the Victim Compensation Scheme in the presence of the DLSA members, Superintendent of Police and the Public Prosecutor at Baghmara on January 29.

The notification issued by the DLSA Secretary also urged the victims, dependents and other family members who suffered loss or injury because of crime to avail the benefits under the scheme through the DLSA.

The benefits include rehabilitation, financial assistance, and support.
