Meghalaya: Achik Students’ Welfare Association list their demands to CM ahead of GHADC elections

Members of the Achik Students’ Welfare Association (ASWA), on Wednesday, met Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma during his visit to Williamnagar in East Garo Hills and submitted a list of demands for Dobu village.

The NGOs sought the development of the Dobu office of the General Counsel (OGC) into a police outpost while also asking for an SBI Dobu branch.

The ASWA also sought the up-gradation of the Dobu Rimding Deficit UP School, the up-gradation of the Dobu Primary Health Centre (PHC) into a Community Health Centres (CHC), and the appointment of veterinary staff nurses.

“These are the demands that are essential to the development of the Dobu area. We hope these requirements are taken up on a priority basis,” the ASWA said.
