Security forces apprehend HPCD cadre in Manipur

IMPHAL:

The Assam Rifles troops apprehended one active insurgent of the proscribed group Hmar People's Convention Democratic(HPCD) on January 25.

The insurgent identified as Alan is a resident of Liklai area in Churachandpur district of Manipur.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Security Forces and Manipur Police apprehended the said cadre and recovered one 9mm Pistol with six live 9mm rounds from his possession.

The apprehended individual along with the recovered items was handed over to Moirang Police Station (PS) for further investigation and legal action.
