Nongpok Sekmai of Manipur declared best Police Station by MHA

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) conferred Nongpok Sekmai Police Station in Manipur as the best police station in the country for the year 2020.

“Under the initiatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in view to encourage excellence in police work, Nongpok Sekmai police station in Thoubal district has been selected as the best police station of the country,” a release from the Manipur Police stated.

The parameters for grading the police stations were based on their performances and the feedback from the citizens.

“On October 10, a team from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) inspected the police station based on various parameters and had conferred the Award for the best police station to Nongpok Sekmai Police station,” it further stated.

Officer-in-charge Keisham Premkumar Mangang received the award virtually from the Union Home Minister.
