Manipur: Troops from Assam Rifles avert major fire in Churachandpur

IMPHAL:

The Assam Rifles troops under the aegis of IGAR (South) averted a major fire incident at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Churachandpur town on March 22.

After the fire outbreak, the troops rushed to the Churachandpur DC office, evacuated men and materials from the site and managed to douse the fire.

The valiant efforts of the troops stopped the fire from spreading to the nearby areas.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
