Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh extended his greetings to the people on the occasion of the Lui-Ngai-Ni festival.
"The Lui-Ngai-Ni festival is a seed sowing festival celebrated across the state during spring, and it marks the beginning of the new year," Singh said on Monday.
"During the festival, we seek the blessing of the Almighty for a bountiful harvest on the seeds sown," he said.
The Lui-Ngai-Ni festival also showcases the ancient customs and traditions that have endured throughout the years.
In his greeting, Singh wished for peace, unity and brotherhood among all communities across the state.
