Manipur CM lauds Captain Rangnamei for bravery at Galwan valley

IMPHAL:

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh lauded the bravery of Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei, an Indian army officer from Senapati district, for leading his men during the Galwan Valley clash against the Chinese troops last year.

“Meet Capp Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from Senapati district, Manipur of 16-Bihar regiment, leading his men in Galwan during the confrontation against the Chinese PLA. The valour you have shown while standing up for the Nation has made all of us proud,” Singh tweeted on Monday.

Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei was also the recipient of a gallantry award during this year’s Republic Day celebrations.

He is the son of K. Soiba and Ng Dila of Katomei village and graduated from the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA).

He passed the Joint Training Academy and was commissioned from the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, in 2018.
