Inter-club boxing championship begins in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR:

The Arunachal Amateur Boxing Association, on Saturday, inaugurated the 2nd inter-club boxing championship at the Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) Boxing Academy in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

Reportedly, 98 boxers, including 23 females, from 14 different boxing clubs across the state will take part in the championship.

While addressing the gathering, RGU Professor Nani Bath stressed the importance of discipline to achieve in life and said that the state is getting a face-lift in sports.

Besides this, he encouraged young boxers to work dedicatedly and to raise the bar.

Physical Education and Sports Science HoD (in-charge), Tadang Minu, said that RGU would continue to promote sports in the state.
