Assam: Congress dividing people for vote bank, says Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday slammed the Congress for dividing people in Assam during their previous rule. 

Addressing a rally in Dibrugarh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Congress has given violence, infiltration and blood bath during their rule in Assam. In the last five years under Sarbananda Sonowal led-BJP government in the state much development has taken place. The unholy grand alliance between Congress-AIUDF cannot secure the future of Assam.”

Chouhan also hit out at the All India United Democratic Front Chief Badruddin Ajmal for doing playing politics based on religion.

“He wants Assam to be a Muslim state and supports infiltration, they are the main vote bank for Ajmal. The Congress-AIUDF grand alliance have no future in the state because they cannot provide security to the people of Assam.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was in Dibrugarh to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates.

Chouhan took part in three political rallies in the Dibrugarh district.

“Rahul baba, Congress and Ajmal are on the roads of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, who have divided India. Congress is also divided into many groups, and Rahul baba will end the hundred-year-old Congress dynasty,” Chouhan alleged.

Dibrugarh Legislative Assembly is one of the prestigious seat in Assam and incumbent MLA Prasanta Phukan won third in a row from this constituency.
