TURA | SEPT 27, 2020:

West Garo Hills (WGH) police on September 26 seized one pickup truck with illegally packed timber, which had attempted to hide from authorities by hiding in various locations.

According to reports, the vehicle was parked behind a temple in Garobadha village where it was spotted by some locals.

They provided information about the presence of the vehicle to forest and police authorities, after which they attempted to locate the vehicle.

The vehicle was seen without registration plates and was apparently on its way to Assam with the loaded timber.

"They found the vehicle near Garodubi after initially hiding in Garobadha itself. We have handed the vehicle along with the timber to the forest department for further action," informed Superintendent of Police, WGH, Dr MGR Kumar.
