Manipur: Three BJP MLAs dropped from state cabinet
IMPHAL | SEPT 24, 2020:
Manipur Governor, Najma Heptullah, after much speculation of a cabinet reshuffle, has dropped three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ministers from her council of Ministers today.
The Governor decided after Chief Minister N. Biren Singh had sought the removal of the three ministers through a D.O letter No. 1/8/2020-CM(1) on September 23.
The three BJP cabinet ministers are V. Hangkhalian, Minister of Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Nemcha Kipgen, Minister of Social Welfare and Cooperation and Th. Radheyshyam Singh, Minister for Education, Labour and Employment.
Accepting Chief Minister N. Biren's proposal, Governor Najma Heptullah said in a statement, "I have accepted the proposal of dropping of the (above) Ministers from the council of Ministers".
