Tripura Govt. accepts recommendations for implementation of 7th Pay Commission

In a welcome move today, the recommendations made for implementation of 7th Pay Commission (CPC) in Tripura has been accepted in a Special Cabinet Meeting held in Agartala. The same was confirmed by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb through his official Twitter handle.

The state government employees have been waiting for Pay Commission, however, the former Left government in its 25 years of the rule provided only Pay Review Commission.

It may be recalled that before the Assembly elections, BJP had promised to implement the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) and accordingly P P Verma committee was formed in the first meeting of the cabinet. The same has now been fulfilled.
