Mizoram:Aizawl Fc create history thrash DSK Shivjain at home
Aizawl Fc created history of sorts by winning their first victory when the hosts Defeated DSK Shivjains 2-0 in front of a packed home crowd.
It maybe mentioned that Aizawl Fc were unlucky to have lost their previous encounter with BengaluruFC last week .
Alfred Jaryan (18′) and Yuta Kinowaki (45+1′) scored in Aizawl FC's 2-0 win over DSK Shivajians in an I-League round three clash played at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Aizawl, Mizoram.
With Soram Porei injured the home team's coach Manuel Retamero Frail with a 4-3-3 formation replaced him with another local lad , goalkeeper Zothanmawia and also made three other changes. Mizoram Premier League's best player F. Lalrinpuia, Albert Zohmingmawia and Kinowaki were in starting eleven in place of Biaktea Lalbiakhlua, H. Lalbiakthanga and R. Malsawmtluanga.
Derrick Pereira on the other side for DSK Shivjains opted for only one change as he replaced Mohammed Rafi in favour of Milan Singh in a 4-5-1 shape.
The deadlock was broken in the 18th minute when Alfred found the back of the net with a neat finish.
The goalscorer also showed a fair amount of composure in the box in the 34th minute as he set up Brandon Vanlalremdika, although the shot was saved by Subrata Paul who once again denied the left winger in a span of 10 minutes.
The Shivajians goalkeeper however had no answer to an unstoppable piledriver of a volley by Kinowaki off David Lalrinmuana's corner kick to send Aizawl into the break with a 2-0 lead.
After two defeats, Aizawl now have three points to help get off from the bottom of the table to occupy the fourth spot after their win. As for Shivajians, they are yet to score a goal but have the one point from their last game in the two encounters they have had in the I-League so far.
It must be said that the Hills have truly come alive in Mizoram with this emphatic win .
