Earthquake jolts Sikkim

An earthquake measuring 4.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale hit Sikkim at approximately 07.19 am on Saturday morning. According to reports, the epicenter was found to be 21 kms away from its capital city Gangtok.

Meanwhile, on Friday night, minor tremors were felt in parts of Delhi and adjoining areas after an earthquake of magnitude 3.0 on the Richter Scale struck the National Capital Region.

Last month, tremors were felt in Assam and parts of the Northeast measuring 4.4 magnitude on the Richter Scale.
