IMPHAL: Union Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has indicated enthusiasm for opening an Indo-Myanmar Relation centre in Imphal.
While addressing media in a question and answer session held at president of the Indo-Myanmar Fraternal Alliance RK Shivchandra residence, he revealed this to media.
He also added that the Union Minister is additionally keen to open three-month certificate courses on the dialects of Myanmar, China and Thailand in Manipur.
After accepting memorandum from the alliance , Mrs Swaraj ensured to help the youth of Manipur to enhance their financial status, Sushma Swaraj also showed interest in opening the Shyamaprasad Mukhrajee Center for Indo-Myanmar Relation inside 10 km radius of Imphal and guaranteed action within a week.
The Union Minister likewise guaranteed to discuss it with the Myanmar Counterpart to open an one year dialect course in Kalimiyu University in Myanmar.
The Union Minister additionally guaranteed a Guest House for visitors in Imphal which will likewise direct restorative vacationers in the State.
Shivchandra said his party will soon meet with the State Chief Minister to chat on the Union's confirmations Minister.
Recently, a group of the alliance including RK Shivchandra himself along with its advisor and BJP national executive member Tapir Gao and patron members L Bashanta Sharma, former Thongju MLA Th Bishwajit Singh and met the Union Minister in Delhi.
