After Conviction for Tax evasion in Barcelona Messi may move to Chelsea
In the aftermath of Lionel Messi being given a jail sentence for 21 months (which is likely to be a suspended sentence) and a hefty fine for tax evasion there are now strong rumours that the Argentinian superstar will consider a move to English premier club Chelsea for reportedly a huge transfer fee.
Chelsea are ready to offer Barcelona around £110 million for the 29-year-old and will better the forward's current deal with the Spanish champions, which currently stands at £600,000 a week.
Manchester City have also registered their interest and have a contract prepared which would see Messi earn £800,000 a week.
It is believed that Messi's father met Roman Abramovich at his infamous yacht, the Eclipse to see a possibility of a possible move to England.
Messi who has bee with Spanish giants Barcelona since the age of 12 is reportedly fed up of the tax scrutiny in the Catalonian capital and under a lot of stress.
He recently quit the national team after an emotionally draining loss to Chile in the Copa America and With Messi being handed a 21-month jail sentence and a €2 million fine for tax fraud, it is widely believed that the Argentine has felt that Barcelona haven't been as supportive as they could've been throughout the ordeal.
