Echoes of the past: Meghalaya in keeping Soso Tham's legacy alive

The thoughts, ideas and wisdom that Khasi Laureate U Soso Tham shared almost a century ago through his writings still speak volume till today especially in the present context when the demand for the implementation of the Inner Liner Permit (ILP) by political parties and social organisations of Meghalaya is gaining momentum following the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Student leaders consider U Myllung Soso Tham (as he is fondly known - Myllung translates to Poet) a visionary and a revolutionary, an influencer with an ever-lasting legacy.

Like every year, this year on December 18, the Meghalaya government, social organisations and educational institution observed his death anniversary and recalled the great works and contributions of Soso Tham to the Khasi literary.
