Meghalaya NGOs hold protest across the state demanding ILP
Hundreds of members belonging to different NGOs of Meghalaya gathered at several designated places across the state to protest against the delay in the implementation of the Inner Line Permit in the state.

Hundreds of members belonging to different NGOs of Meghalaya gathered at several designated places across the state to protest against the delay in the implementation of the Inner Line Permit in the state.
The NGOs include the Khasi Students' Union (KSU), Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJPG), Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF), Ri-Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF), Garo Students' Union (GSU), A'chik Youth Welfare Organization (AYWO) and the Association of Democracy and Empowerment (ADE).
Their demands include:
1. Implementation of ILP
2. Speedy construction of entry-exit points
3. Scrap Citizenship Amendment Act,
4. Inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages in the 8th Schedule
