Meghalaya falter against Bihar in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

CHENNAI:

One of the top teams in the plate group, Bihar defeated Meghalaya by 6-wickets on Friday.

Sent in to bat first, the Meghalaya batsmen struggled against some tight bowling and could manage just 82 for 9 in 20 overs.

Skipper Punit Bisht, who got a ton in the match against Mizoram fell for 16.

Likewise, none of the other batsmen from Meghalaya delivered the score that was expected of them.

Opener Ravi Teja could only manage 5, while Yogesh Tiwari (9), and Abhay Negi (11) also showed a dismal performance.

The bowling department from Meghalaya tried to restrict the Bihar team, however, as the target set by the team was low, it was an easy chase for Bihar.

Bihar finished the match in 16 overs, registering their third straight win in the tournament.
