India’s Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan’s Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi pair up for Mexican Open

NEW DELHI:

India’s Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan’s Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi will pair up after six years for the Acapulco ATP 500 event in Mexico from March 15.

The popular India-Pakistan duo will once again play together since the ATP 250 event in Shenzen back in 2014.

In 2010, the duo reached the US Open final together in what many consider their best performance.

Popularly known as the ‘Indo-Pak Express’, their paring has generated enormous interest in both the countries given the rivalry between the Asian neighbours in Cricket, Hockey and other sports.

40-year-old Bopanna and Aisam, who have come together after a long time, currently have plans to take part in one tournament.

“Right now, we are just getting together to play in Mexico. So far, we have not spoken about the future,” Aisam said.

The pair hopes that they may well get more chances to play together in the future.
