AGARTALA, October 7, 2017: The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) would launch mass movements throughout the state from October 31 protesting against the failure of the Left government in bringing development and BJP's false promises for development. The agitation would continue till November 19.

The party would hold mass agitations protesting against miseries of farmers at Udaipur in Gomati District and Kumarghat in Unakoti District on October 26.

"The Left government, despite being in power for more than two decades, failed to minus unemployment from the state. On the other hand, the BJP failed to keep their promise to provide employment to the youths. Both the political parties have failed to do well for people. Protesting against them, we would start our movements from the end of the month," said Congress president Birajit Sinha on Saturday at Congress Bhawan.

Later, Sinha alleged that BJP has illegally occupied Congress offices at certain areas, though the party has successfully eradicated the occupation.

"We have complained to the respective Sub Divisional Magistrates regarding the illegal occupation. Hope, police and civil administration would take an impartial move in this case. If they fail to do so, we might launch civil disobedience movement in coming days," said Sinha.
