Assam CM goes tech savvy: takes Google Hangout to interact with people
GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi pitched for infrastructure development, skill development, employment generation and raising living standard of the people to expedite the growth trajectory of Assam by interacting with the people around on Google Hangout at his official residence at Koinadhora on Sunday.
Gogoi answered the questions put to him on different subjects related to Assam. Gogoi also said that State Government is committed to give incentive to the people eager to come to Assam and set up industries. Government would give incentives in power, loan and other related segments.
He also said government encourages entrepreneurship and will do everything possible to give entrepreneurial skills of the youths a fillip. Gogoi also said organic farming is the priority area of his Government to maintain soil nutrition and health and hygiene.
Interacting with the people, Gogoi also pitched in for smart villages where development will take place in sync with the environment and people will have all basic necessities like drinking water, sewerage facility and the like.
Talking about solving different problems, Gogoi reiterated his Government's commitment to use education as a tool to solve problems like poverty, unemployment, superstitions etc. He also informed that his Government is entering into memorandum of agreement with foreign universities like Stanford University, Columbia University, Curtin University etc.
The attendees were selected randomly from amongst all the entries received for the purpose.
