LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Mary Kom an example to aspiring youths in the Northeast

Respected Editor,

Once again our pride and joy, Mary MC Kom has proven that her best years are not behind her. She for the fifth time in her career reigns supreme over Asia winning 5-0 against her opponent at the Asia's women boxing championships which was held in Ho Chi Minh city. She is back to her best fighting in the 48-kg category where she has always been most comfortable. She gives hope to not only Manipuri people but all people from the Northeast. She is an example of what hardwork, determination and grit can help achieve and many from the state should channel her positivity to also reach their goals.

With Manipur continuing to bring out amazing athletes from boxing to hockey to football, I am very optimistic that there will be many more Mary Koms from the state.
