BEIJING:

Chinese synth-rock band 'Hardcore Raver in Tears' had recently released a music video for their song ‘WUHAN2020’, the title track from their new album to commemorate the fight against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In the video, lead singer Lu Yan sings about the suffering during Wuhan’s 76-day lockdown.

“The message behind the song is the great sacrifice Wuhan’s people made for the entire nation and the world,” Yan said.

“The album differs from our usual style. During its creation, our members were very traumatised psychologically, and stress and cabin fever inspired our lyrics,” he said.

The music video, which also pays tribute to Chinese whistle-blower Dr Li Wenliang who worked at Wuhan Central Hospital, has gained over 6,000 views.
