Winter Break: Academic session in Meghalaya to be closed from Dec 21

SHILLONG:

Taking into consideration the upcoming Christmas Festival and winter break, the Meghalaya Education Department has notified that the academic session shall be closed w.e.f. December 21 and shall reopen on January 11, 2021.

To this effect, the Adjusted Academic Calendar (AAC) for all classes except those appearing for Board examination in 2021 has been revised as follows:

• Starting date for winter break- Dec 21

• Opening of schools : Jan 11 up-to March 10, 2021 - This period will include lesson transaction, assignments, online interaction, counselling, etc.

• Final examination/Assessment - March 11 to March 20

• Term Break: March 21 to March 31

• New Academic session 2021-22 shall commence from April 1, 2021.

In this regard, the activities permitted as per previous notification mentioned above shall still be in force after Jan 11 and until further order.
