A team of Tripura police left for Bengaluru this morning, with inputs from its Karnataka counterpart, to detain a youth who has been charged with making pro-Pakistan comments in social media after the killing of 42 CRPF jawans in Pulwama.

According to UNI report, with the instruction of Union Home Ministry, immediately after the gruesome terror attack in Pulwama last week, police across the country had been closely monitoring social media platforms, and several Indians were identified as Pak sympathisers from various parts of the country.

The Karnataka police found an anti-Indian post on facebook two days ago on the accused youth's profile. During investigation, the police learned that the youth was from Tripura, and had been working in Bengaluru. They located the person and brought him under security network, but did not detain him, said a senior police official here.
