Tripura treads on path of Gandhiji’s ‘Naitalim’ to improve education quality

A 7 day Faculty Development Programme conducted by Tripura University came to an end today. The programme was organised in an attempt to improve quality education in the state in the line of Mahatma Gandhi's 'Naitalim'. The Programme is supported by Mahatma Gandhi Council for Rural Education (MHRD) Hyderabad.

The last day of programme was hosted by V.L Dharukar the Vice Chancellor, Dean, Arts and Commerce Professor Chandrika Basu Majumdar, Prof V Krishnaiah, Prof Satyadeo Poddar and course coordinator Dr Arabindo Mahato. 15 Teachers from various BEd colleges attended the programme. The programme included practical training on education system that Mahatma Gandhi felt would be best suited for India. Gandhiji's ideology of education system included three Hs- Head, Heart and Hand.

Dr Arabindo Mahato said that the recent 7 day programme was the second programme of a series of such event. The first programme was inaugurated last month by Governor Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki. He further added that the third event shall be conducted in January 2019 and the duration would be for 21 days.
