Tripura: Pradyot slams minister over claims of royal family member joining bjp
AGARTALA | NOV 13, 2019:
Law and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath in his recent statement indicated that the 'royal family member' along with 'his followers' is likely to join BJP.
According to sources, Ratan Lal Nath said that a lot of opposition leading figures have expressed their interest to join BJP including a royal family member along with his followers. However, Nath didn't mentioned any name but dropped enough hint regarding the person.
Meanwhile, Tripura's royal scion, Pradyot Debbarman, has expressed shock over the claims made by Nath stating that it could have been royal family members clarifying that neither he nor any of his family member had stated this, commenting on Nath's indication he said, "I think Mr. Ratan Lal Nath must be taking about some other Royal Family because as far as I know no one from the Royal family of Tripura is joining BJP. It is a same old tactics of Congress party which Mr. NATH is using to mislead the Indigenous people of Tripura before TTADC elections. He must be concerned about his own departments. As far as I am concern I am not joining BJP and I have not even met Mr. NATH after his son's wedding for which he had invited me".
Debbarman said that at present the state government is mulling to de- reserve some of the ST College Teacher's posts. The state government is now working to find appropriate number of qualified College teachers for the vacant posts of college teachers meant for Schedule Tribes.
He also added that there is a shortage of teachers at school level. The state government are also calling upon TET candidates to base themselves strongly in English which will help them in recruitment exams.
