Tripura: Police finally trace whereabouts of scam accused ex-minister

Tripura police has finally traced the whereabouts of alleged scam accused Ex PWD Minister, Badal Chowdhury on Monday night.
Almost after a week, Tripura police has finally located ex-PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury when he arrived at the hospital for treatment.
Chowdhury is now undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Agartala.
Meanwhile former CM Manik Sarkar, General Secretary of CPI-M Gautam Das and other senior leaders have also reached the hospital to enquire about the health status of Chowdhury.
The former chief minister, Man Sarkar refused to comment anything on the issue.
Meanwhile, Security is tightened across the hospital. Adequate police force is deployed across the hospital.
According to the source, Chowdhury is admitted in the hospital with kidney ailments and is now under observation in ICU.
More information is awaited.
It may be mentioned that the vacation bench of the High Court of Tripura today heard the anticipatory bail plea filed by the former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury, after cancellation of the anticipatory bail on October 16 by West district session court.
However, the order by the High Court is still reserved.
Former PWD minister Choudhury is an accused in an alleged PWD scam amounting over Rs 600-crore, carrying out in 2008-2009.
