Tripura: MP opens 10 water ATMs to limit use of packaged drinking water

AGARTALA | November 3, 2019:

Tripura on Saturday got ten drinking water vending machines or water ATM.

West Tripura MP Pratima Bhowmik inaugurated 10 water ATMs in Agartala city centre to provide an alternative to packaged drinking water.

The Tripura government has decided to install at least 50 such water dispensing machines in different locations under smart city mission.

The automatic machines will supply potable water at minimum cost to the individuals, and is expected to limit use of packaged drinking water.
