Tripura claims the first position in NE to implement PMAY

AGARTALA | October 13, 2019:

Tripura Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb in his speech claims that Tripura holds the first position in Northeast and second in the country in terms of implementation of the Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY)
while addressing a special programme on 'Angikar campaign' launched by the central government in Agartala Town Hall on Friday.

He further added that by 2022 all the needy families will have their own houses.

Biplab urged the elected bodies like the Panchayats and civic bodies to work harder in order to achieve this goal by identifying the list of beneficiaries and make available the due funds to the people .

He also said that the central schemes hold the key to development and transformation of society and this is the reason why the state government has taken steps to mobilize additional resources to supplement the central initiative.
