Tripura Assembly session likely to be held at Heritage Park, under the open sky
AGARTALA | AUG 22, 2020:
Law and Parliamentary Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday inspected the Heritage Park gallery in Agartala to conduct the upcoming monsoon Assembly session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly.
Nath said that the Tripura government is concerned due to the outbreak of coronavirus, therefore they are planning to hold the Assembly session in an open space by taking all safety measures.
"States like Assam held the assembly session with 50% of the total strength to maintain social distancing. I am visiting the heritage park to see if it would be possible to hold the assembly session here under the open sky. However, the final decision is yet to be taken," Nath added.
Earlier, the five-day budget session was cut short after the budget was passed in the Assembly due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
