Section 144 imposed in Tripura ahead of Holi

AGARTALA:
The Tripura government has imposed section 144 in Agartala and other parts of the state for two days to avoid unnecessary crowding during Holi.
District Magistrate of West Tripura District Sailesh Kumar Yadav said that the curfew will be imposed on March 28 and 29.
“Mass gathering would not be allowed, and the state would follow central guidelines,” said Yadav.

It may be noted that the state of Tripura has 48 active Covid cases.
More than 40 people have tested positive for the virus in the last two weeks.
