Northeast-Bangla connection: Meghalaya CM meets Bangladesh PM

SHILLONG | Nov 7, 2019:

Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, who is on a four-day visit to Bangladesh, today met Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka.

It was informed that Sangma discussed several issues relating to the bilateral relationship between India and Bangladesh and also on strategies to develop and enhance the relationship between Northeast India and the neighboring country.

The Meghalaya Chief Minister discussed on how to connect Northeast with Bangladesh; to open vistas to rest of the world which was the agenda of India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

It was also informed that Sangma discussed on ways to develop Northeast and its business avenues with Bangladesh and other neighboring countries countries.
