Nagaland takes part in all India postal strike in Kohima

KOHIMA | JAN 8, 2020:

The Nagaland division of All India Postal Employees Unions along with the rest of the country participated in the Nation Wide strike outside Post Office at the State Capital, Kohima.

Expressing their concerns over the draconian CAA (CAB) law, the union stated that the law will take away the rights and jobs of the indigenous people of Nagaland and entire Northeastern Region.

AIPEU also highlighted their Postal demands to scrap the New Pension scheme and restore old pension scheme.

#To honour assurance given by Group of Ministers to NJCW leaders on 30-06-2016, to fill up vacant posts in Central Government Departments.

#To stop privatization, corporation of Central govt dept & PSUs removing ceiling on compassionate appointment.

#To grant Five promotions in service career.

#To withdraw "Very good" bench mark for MACP. Grant promotional hierarchy and date effect from 2016.

#To grant civil servant status to GDS, to scrap Citizenship Amendment Act 2019.

#To withdraw anti worker labour codes and labour reforms.

#To settle all problems arisen out of implementation of CSI,RICT/IPPB/CBS and to withdraw draconian FR 56(J) and Rule 48 of CCS (Pension Rule 1972).

The union during the demonstration shouted slogans like Modi Srakar Murdabad, Inkualab Zindabad.

Kevikhrielie Assistant Division Secretary of AIPEU in his speech also said that the protest in Northeast is of different picture than the rest of the country. The fight is not against Muslims but to protect our land and the Indigenous rights of the Northeast People.
