Nagaland: Plying of govt condemned vehicles sans private registration is illegal

KOHIMA | March 08, 2019:

The State Transport department has informed that plying of government condemned vehicles without converting to private registration, is an offence and illegal under the provision of law.

This was informed by the Secretary to Transport Department, Nagaland, Kenilo Apon on Friday.

In this regard, he has directed all concerned to strictly adhere to the condition laid down on condemned vehicles and convert such vehicles to private registration within two month from the date of issue of allotment order.

Apon further instructed all departments to prepare a detail list of condemned and allotted vehicles and submit it to concerned Regional Transport Officers, District Transport Officers and Superintendents of Police to check and stop misusing of government condemned vehicles.
