Nagaland: 4 of family injured as house collapse due to landslide

During a tragic incident, four members of a family including a minor girl were grievously injured after the RCC wall of the house collapsed due to landslide at upper Bayavü colony Kohima on Friday night.

The injured, identified as 65-year old Lohrü  (father), Asorou (mother, 60 years), Asane (daughter, 25 yrs) and Akhone (grand-daughter 9 yrs) were rushed to the Naga hospital.

The mother was transferred to the ICU as her condition was critical, it was also reported that a vehicle (sumo grande) which was parked along the road side, rolled down the 30 feet below the road before it stopped at the collapsed house.

A recently constructed platform for a transformer, by the road side, was also pulled down some 20 feet from the main road.

As per sources district disaster management authority (DDMA) personnel visited the spot and also met the injured at the Naga hospital. DDMA official informed that immediate relief was provided to the affected family.
