Naga underground links to be probed: Nagaland govt

In the latest development from Nagaland, an office memorandum was issued by the state Home Department which took everyone by surprise.

The State Government has instructed all Administrative Heads and Heads of Departments to obtain information in self-declaration form from Government employees regarding family members and relatives in "underground organizations" and submit to the Home Department, Political Branch latest by August 7.

While interacting with media persons, Principal Secretary, Home Abhijit Sinha said that he cannot comment further as it is a directive from the Government; however, he maintained that the order has been issued to keep a record.

Furthermore, he added, concerning the deadline that after receiving the list from the government employees in the first week of August, the next course of action will be decided.
