Meghalaya: Three recover from coronavirus in West Khasi Hills

Health Department officials of the West Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya, on Monday, August 10, informed that three COVID-19 patients were discharged from the Corona Care Centre in Nongstoin after they were tested negative for the virus.

According to Dr. L.L Mawsor, In-charge Corona Care Centre Nongstoin, the three people, who were discharged today, include a handyman of Food Corporation of India (FCI) truck from Mawngap village under Mawshynrut Civil Sub Division, another from 4th battalion police, North Garo Hills and a staff nurse of Pyndengrei village.

Dr. Mawsor informed that the recovered patients were discharged after their sample tested negative for the virus, and they have been advised to undergo a one-week self-isolation at home.

With the recovery of the three people, the total active cases in West Khasi Hills stand at three.
