Meghalaya registers 13 returnees from United Kingdom

Director of Health Services (MI), Government of Meghalaya, Dr Aman Warr on December 27 informed that 13 returnees from the United Kingdom (UK) have been detected in the state so far.

Speaking to TNT-The Northeast Today, Dr Warr informed that three of the returnees have been tested negative adding, that the test of the remaining nine people will be done on December 28.

According to him, all the returnees are under strict home quarantine.

Majority of them hails from various parts of Meghalaya’s capital, Shillong.

“There is nothing to panic since all returnees had returned before the outbreak of the new strain of the virus,” Dr Warr added.

The health official also informed that all necessary precautions have been taken by the health officials of Meghalaya.
