Meghalaya: MPSC exam postponed in view of law and order situation

SHILLONG | DEC 13, 2019:

The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced that due to the prevailing law and order situation in which curfew has been imposed in some areas of Shillong City, the Screening Test for the post of Sub Inspector of Statistics Scheduled to be held on the 14th Dec, 2919 has been rescheduled on 04th January 2020.

The Venue and timing of the above Screening Test will remain unchanged.

The Meghalaya government has imposed curfew in certain places of the capital city which have been relaxed from 10am to 10pm.

Furthermore, the government has suspended SMS and mobile internet in the entire state of Meghalaya for 48 hours starting from 5 pm of Dec 12.

The curfew has been imposed in Jaiaw, Mawkhar, Umsohsun, Riatsamthiah, Wahingdoh, Mission, Mawprem, Lumdiengjri, Lamavilla, Qualapatty, Wahthapbru, Sunny Hill, Cantonment, Boucher Road, Mawlong Hat (excluding localities beyond Umshyrpi bridge).

The curfew would also cover whole of Police Bazaar, Keating Road, Jail road and Polo.
