Meghalaya: GSU-EKH fresher meet held in Shillong
SHILLONG | Sept 07, 2019:
The Garo Students' Union, East Khasi Hills today organised a fresher meet cum social gathering at U So So Tham Auditorium hall in Shillong.

The gathering was attended by Leader of Opposition and former chief Minister Dr. Mukul M. Sangma along with Chokpot, West Garo Hills MLA Lazarus M. Sangma.

While addressing the event, former CM Mukul Sangma spoke about the importance of education and encouraged the students to choose a better path for the betterment of the society.
"Everyone has potential and it is very important for the students to utilise their potentials for the betterment of the society, " Sangma said.
The programme was followed by an array of events including welcome song by NEHU students, welcome speech by the president of GSU (EKH) Mack Steve Sangma and various other performances by students.
