The Meghalaya State Government is actively considering to further reduce petrol and diesel prices to provide relief to the consumers within the State.

As per the press release issued by the Transport Department, the 48-hour road blockade announced by the Meghalaya Joint Action Committee of Commercial Vehicles (MJACCV), is not called for.

All the Deputy Commissioners have therefore been directed to take strict action against anyone attempting to disrupt free movement of vehicles across the State.
